I took his number only because he was persistant; actually I didn`t like him that much, but I took his number only so that he could go away. I promised to send him a text message... I know that I shouldn`t fuss about it, and I was in a situation when I didn`t received a message, but I still have doubts.

Don't send him a message if your not interested in him. He will understand once he gets the hint you never text him. Never lead a guy on if you don't like him. Makes you look real bad. Just leave him alone!

All of your answers say the same thing 'do not text this person'! Especially for the reason of NOT giving this guy your number (which is what he will have after you text him). Even if a guy is persistant, you still have to like him for some reason other than he is persistant.

You should have never promised to text him! Now when you don't, you'll be a liar. If you text him, he'll have your number and may start calling you until your phone blows up! Just forget him, and next time a guy you don't like asks for your number, say "why don't you give me yours instead" but don't promise anything.

Just remember if you send him a text then he will have your number. That could get really ugly if he starts messaging you all of the time.

if you don't like him, no .. don't send him a message. If you do send him one, he will think that you do like him. Don't play mind games with him. Just leave well enough alone.

Sleep on it for a day or two. He's probably not "the type" of guy you usually go out with immediately. Are you looking for someone that's in it for the long haul - or, someone that wants you for the nite? But.....if there's ZEROOOOO percent chemistry...I dunno. I've gone out with guys that did NOTHING for me first, second.....times of meeting them......and.... ended up loving them

if you dont want anything to do with him, dont do it. you said he was persistant... so it wasnt like you were interested. what doubts could you possibly have...just forget about it.
