I have been haunted with dandruff a few times, I went to the doctor who percribed me some polytare shampoo, which you can buy from chemist, I didn't have the time or patiance to try home remedies, but I got these of the net if you want to give them a go!

Cure For Dandruff
Vinegar is poured into the hair, massaged into the scalp, and left to dry for a few minutes. Then the hair is washed.
The process is repeated daily until the dandruff disappears, usually within a few days.

Aspirin for Dandruff
No problem, dissolve 2 aspirins in your dandruff shampoo and watch how it clears up. Use a good moisturizing conditioner afterward.

.“Tea Tree Oil Kills the Yeast Responsible”

Dandruff is caused by a yeast infection. The yeast is known as Pityrosporum ovale. It infects the scalp, causing inflammation and itching. This in turn causes skin peeling and the characteristic flaking of dandruff. Tea tree oil soaks through the skin and kills the yeast. So you’ll be free of dandruff.

But tea tree oil does more than that. It sooths the scalp and reduces the inflammation so that you get relief from the itch while tea tree oil works on the yeast.

And remember…

“It’s 100% Natural and is Good for Your General Health”

You can be confident that it’s non-toxic and is good for your general health. Because tea tree oil is from the Melaleuca alternifolia tree and is 100% natural. With pure tea tree oil, you don’t have to soak your scalp in unnatural chemicals. Our tea tree oil has no additives or manufactured chemicals. Save yourself the worry of using toxic manufactured drugs and creams.

Here’s how:

“The Easy and Convenient Way”

1. Dispense a regular amount of your normal shampoo (non-conditioning) into your hand
2. Add 10 drops of good quality Pure Tea Tree Oil to the shampoo and mix to create your anti-dandruff shampoo

Dandruff is like cradle cap for babies. You have to massage the scalp with baby oil every day for about 2 weeks. This makes your hair oily and dirty looking but it is worth it. This will keep it away for about 6 months and then you repeat. I know it sucks but even medication won't get rid of it. Sometimes you have to take desperate measures to get what you want. Good luck!

Well if you have really bad dandruff I would say dont use any other shampoo exept dandruff shampoo's. You can buy them and any sore (a.k.a. Shoppers Dug Mart) or ask your doctor about what else you can do!

No not really. But some shampoos and conditioners can make the dandruff lighter so you don't have as much.

hi,
i think you should apply lemon juice to your hair.or you can apply egg to your hair.most important thing wash your hairs regularly with a herbal shampoo.do not use any other shampoo like clinic plus/head n shoulder/etc.use only a herbal shampoo.and one more thing daily wash your hairs thoroughly with water at lest.do not forget to do this as dust and pollution are the main cause of the dandruff.
if benefited then reply back
bye
