I consider myself a normal person. married with 2 daughters. but all my life a have struggled with a shameful fetish. I have had it my whole life and causes me much guilt. I have been to therapy, the whole 9 yards, but never found reasons why or a cure. I have a diaper fetish, how weird is that? I am 48 and have had it since 6 years old.

I consider you a normal person too. Hey, I'm 60 an I wear diapers 24 / 7 because I'm incontinent, and yes, I have to, but the difference is, I like to wear them so I enjoy them.

It's a fetish but a harmless one, it hurts no one, not even yourself. You wear a diaper under your pants, who can see it? Do you go around flaunting it in front of everyone? If not, then all you are doing is wearing a diaper under your pants, no big deal.

Don't feel guilty. Why do you? Because society says it isn't normal? Who says society is the normal one? Maybe it's normal to wear diapers and all the rest are the ones that are abnormal.

If you have been to therapy and haven't gotten any answers then evidently that therapist wasn't skilled or there aren't any answers to begin with, to me that means don't worry about it and you have no reason to feel guilty about it.

You didn't say what your wife thinks about it. Does she have a problem with you liking diapers or does she think maybe that you look cute in them. Does she change you? Does she like you in them? Does she like to play mommy with you? All these questions make a difference as to whether you try to stop or not.

Incorporate it into your love life and make it a game between the two of you. Enjoy it not just for the feeling of the thick diaper between your legs or the warmth of the pee filling your diaper, enjoy it as part of your love life with your wife. When you approach it from that standpoint then there is no reason to feel guilty about it.

Good luck, put a diaper on, go sit and watch tv and don't change until you need to. Enjoy.

There have been very few cases I've seen or read about of people "getting rid" of the fetish, and those required somewhat extensive psychiatric help. What you should do is buy some diapers and try them. I was in your position when I was 15. I knew I had the fetish, but I wasn't sure if I wanted it. So one day I bought some, loved them, and so I accepted that I have the fetish. Just about everyone has some kind of fetish. Don't feel like you're the only one in the world with this one; there are actually a lot of us. As long as you're not hurting anyone else then you're not doing anything wrong. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions, I'll put it in the source box.

It is weird, but not all that uncommon. You need to retrain your brain. Have you tried hypnosis? Biofeedback? Have you tried replacing the inappropriate fixation with something a little more positive? Like, when you think about diapers, pull out a sexy polaroid of your wife?

Well, give it about thirty more years and you can wear one all the time without guilt ...but chances are, you won't want to then, you'll fight them to keep it off LOL
