Well, I'm 19, and last semester I would have about a cup a day, since I spent so much time in the arts center (which has a coffee shop, and late-night play rehearsals require a re-boot sometimes!)

However, I did not start drinking coffee steadily until last year. I'm by no means addicted (I've had maybe 4 cups all summer) but caffeine is very bad for you. It can spike your blood sugar, stunt growth, do all sorts of bad things. A cup of coffee twice a week? Not gonna give you that much caffeine.

But if your parents are worried, drink decaf. It still tastes good, and won't harm you at all.

As a teenager and depending on your body you should watch how you drink it. I know it does nothing good for the body but it does taste good. I'll show you an example. I'm 15 and 5'5" and im slender so my dad only lets me get something from Starbucks about once or twice a month. He doesn't want me to get addicted at all like him and thats why. But if you are older, taller, heavier set base it off of that.

Hi There,

It is advised to limit your Coffee intake, due to the fact that caffeine affects your concentration ability. At this stage you can not afford not to loose concentration.

There is nothing wrong to drink 2-3 cups of medium strength coffee a day, but anything more, I would think twice.

It all depends on how much you can handle. If you're a teen, I recommend no extra strong coffee. If you get a Starbucks Carmel Iced coffee, for example, you should be okay. Just don't drink more than 1 a day! Good luck!

You should not, but as far as I know, the coffee made in USA is very weak, very close to water and as that it is quite harmless drink.
Coca Cola is worse to drink and I recommend you not to drink it as it contains things that might be harmful to your body.
Phenylalanine is a trigger to a serious illness in your liver called Porphyry. I am sure you can find sites which tell you more about it.

i don't think it's good for anyone who drinks coffee on a daily basis, coffee stains your teeth and caffeine is bad for you. Like maybe 4 times a month isn't that bad as long as you don't become an addict.
