We live in Ohio and may wish to vacation there in Sept as we have been told it is a good vacation spot. I just need some information on this area.

Bill has given you some good research material to go by. It's an excellent place to vacation. If you do go, you want to make sure you go up Cadillac Mountain, visit Thunder Hole and Sand Beach. Also, most of the shops are getting ready to close for the season in September, so you can get some really good buys on a lot of merchandise. You can also go on a Whale Watch cruise. There is a ton of things to do! I highly recommend Bar Harbor as a vacation!
