I am the youngest of three. We were all raised with lots of love and discipline and were treated equally. We all had chores to do from the time we could walk and talk. I have an older brother and an older sister. My brother and my sister were the ones who generally let me have my way, not my mom or dad. As I said, our parents treated us equal. We are all grown now with children and grandchildren.

I am youngest of three boys. 69, 62 & 59. Even now my mother still sometimes refers to me in conversation as her "baby". Ironic really - I'm about 6 foot and she is less than 5 and shrinking fast!
I think, when we were younger, I sometimes felt a little jealous that my middle brother was allowed to do things that I wasn't and there was, perhaps, more sibling rivalry than with my eldest brother. This was probably due to the larger age gap. We don't see each other a great deal as we live a fair way apart but there has always been a good bond between us.
Advantages about being the youngest:
I believe you can be more rounded as a person than the first child in the family. You pick up on the habits (both good and bad) of other family children. Parents are not so "precious" with you as you are just another child - I dont mean this in a nasty way.
Disadvantages about being the youngest:
Sometimes you wish you had more attention. You don't always want to be treated like a kid. You always get the hand-me-down clothes and toys.
On balance - life's good and I wouldn't want to change.

I am the middle child of three, one older brother and one younger brother. I am the only girl. That is a really big negitive because when we all three are in a fight, the guys gang up on me and I am always left out. My brothers spend more time together than me and anyone else. They are each others best friends and I am left out of everything. They also don't see things from my point of view and that is what sucks the most. I have no problem being a middle child, I just wish that I had a sister to hang out with. There is really nothing positive about being a middle child, at least not within my family.

I am the oldest child , and the oldest grand child . If my brother was alive he would have been the oldest , but he died at 3 months in 1951 . so I really don't thin about the order of births having to do with a persons way of life .

I am the baby (4th of 4). One time a friend of mine pointed out that every one one of the people we hung around with (most of the time) were either baby's or only children. He was about 95% accurate, but I just never noticed it.
On the good side of being a baby: expectations are lower and we get in less trouble for the same mistakes our elder Sib's make. On the bad side: the lower expectations and less trouble we get in are often because parents are tired of being parents.

I am 2nd of a family of 4.
I am the oldest boy and my sister is the oldest. Since she was the only girl I was treated as the oldest.
I am the most successful and hard-working sibling because I was made to do all the hard work in our family.

Youngest. My oldest sister treats me like her kid. My parents expect me to make the same mistakes as the older ones. My brother got in lots of accidents so my Mom wouldn't let me drive till I was 17.5. My parents have more money now than when they were younger so they take me on vacation more. This makes the older ones jealous. My sister is 16 years older and my brother is 9 years older.

3rd out of 6, oldest girl. I'm glad I'm not the oldest (parents too tough on my oldest brother) or the youngest (parents too lenient, fussy w/my youngest sister) but I wish my parents would have been converted to the no-spanking camp a little earlier for the sake of my butt.
