I really liked her a lot when she first came out, and I watched her shows whenever she was on the food network. Her recipes aren't that great, but her personality and enthusiasm is what kept me watching. $40 a day was a good show and i'm sorry to see it cancelled. But Now Ms. Ray is starting to get on my nerves and I guess Oprah is one of her biggest supporters. I think some people either love Rachel or they absolutely can't stand her.

I don't personally care for 30 minute meals because I like to cook and I'm good at it. Her show is great for people who don't like to cook or don't know how to cook and need some quick and easy ideas on how to do something that looks impressive in a hurry. If I am going to take the time to really cook, I don't like to take shortcuts. Also, I do find her to be a bit too perky. I'm not sure how her talk show will do...

They cancelled $40 a Day?? I love that show! Did you see that she filmed an episode of Iron Chef America? It hasn't aired yet, I think it'll be in the new season.

I have never watched her show, but my 12-year-old adores her! He has become quite a cook, making all kinds of concoctions while saying things like, "This is going to be delicious." And "Rachel Ray would add a lot of things."

I like her too and yes she is quirky. She's just so fun to watch.
I have also tried some of her ideas on how to make food easy, quick, healthier and to my liking for less cost than what I would get in a restaurant.

I loathe women (Martha Stewart as well) who make everything look so easy and tasty. I bought two of her cookbooks and can't find anything that I would make in there. How can a recipe, that takes 30 min. or less, have 20 ingredients. It would take me that long just to whip up the recipe, much less make it!

Shes awesome...she transcends her 40 dollars a day. lol She is even going on to do a cook/talk show on morning TV. I dont think its a great loss. Her recipes rock and are sooo versatile.

She's a bit syrupy. A little goes a long way. But she does have some good ideas on food preparation. Overall she's worth the overdose of sugar.
