I advise you to see a counselor posthaste.

Yes, it's totally normal to be depressed when you are pregnant. Your hormones are completely out of whack, and you've got a lot of stuff on your mind! One of the things that helped me the most was having a supportive and attentive partner who was willing to baby me a bit. If you don't have a partner, keep in close contact with your mom, friends siblings - whoever you feel good talking to.
And don't stay at home all the time. When the baby's born you're not going to get out that much at first, so go out and do stuff, even if it's just going for coffee with your friends.
If you feel REALLY depressed ALL the time, you should definitely discuss it with your doctor as soon as possible. There are some antidepressants that are able to be taken safely during pregnancy, in smaller doses.
Best of Luck!

honey your hormones are raging right now. you will cry over the smallest things and this is normal for pregnancy. i am sorry to say that it will not get better right after the baby comes, it takes a couple of months for your body to get back to normal.
good luck with your pregnancy and always remember it is no longer about you anymore, it is all about that precious life growing inside you.
take care.

It is not uncommon to feel *some* depression both at the beginning of pregnancy and again just after the baby is born. It's hormonal and our bodies react to it to some degree.
If you are REALLY depressed, talk to your doctor about it.

Pregnancy hormones really change a lot of things, not just your body. Talk with your physician about what your feeling. I am positive it won't be the first time they have dealt with this.

It is normal because of physical changes and because of the responsibilities. Please talk to your doctor about this though. Some women's depression gets worse after delivering the baby. If yours continues to get worse, you may consider not breast feeding, so that you can take medication if necessary. I know breast feeding is good for the baby, but your baby will need a healthy and happy mother most of all.
Good luck and please promise me you will talk to your doctor about this.
P.S. You may not need medication at all. I just wanted to remind you this may be an option.

Start some kind of regular exercise, even just walking for an hour, or take 3 half-hour walks.
Good luck
