Why should I feel drowned in vain religious debates? If I didn't like debating religion, I could just answer questions in another section.

"Know what His Word says and means. Steer clear of foolish discussions which lead people into the sin of anger with each other." 2 Timothy 2:15-16 Living Bible
"Again I say, don't get involved in foolish arguments which only upset people and make them angry. God's people must not be quarrelsome, they must be gentle, patient teachers of those who are wrong." 2 Timothy 2:23-25 Living Bible

If you mean on Yahoo answers, you can always pick another category. I answer some questions from atheists and agnostics because I feel that maybe I can reach them, but I don't debate. I don't argue the scriptures. I just bear witness. "He that hath an ear let him hear!" You never know whether or not a seed of hope and faith you planted will be watered elsewhere and God will eventually bring the increase.
God bless you.

Funny that you ask this question. One look at your question history shows that you start these 'vain' religious debates.....

Yes, I do. I understand that people feel very strongly about their beliefs, as I also do, but it seems pointless going back and forth arguing about various religious ideas. Most of the time when people argue over beliefs, they are already steadfast in their beliefs and are not going to change their change their minds over one debate.

Depends on what you mean by "drowned" and depends on what you mean by "vain."

I feel a little overwhelmed by the misinformation about Christianity, and I feel a little tired of correcting simple misconceptions a lot.

Does that answer your question?

I never tire of real debate. I get a little tired of the insults and name clling that occures on both sides.

Only if I choose to submerge myself in them by coming into the YA Religion and Spirituality section. But nobody twisted my arm or yours to click that mouse to get here.

No because I have withdrawn from the debate already. People will have to fight with themselves over the issue.
