I used light-amber brown instead of light brown. I washed it out when I noticed 10 minutes into the process. It has a slightly redish tint to it, but not much. My hair feels alright. Would it be safe to just go ahead and die it light brown?

Yes, go ahead. Shouldn't be a problem as long as you are not using bleach

I would not dye my hair again for at least a month. The chemicals in the dye are harsh and will cause hair to break and become brittle if too much in too short a time is used. If any, get some wash out color for the time being and rinse your hair with that to get as close as possible to the color you want.

Hair is nothing but dead and so it is important to keep the elasticity in it. It does neither rejuvenate nor does it get any vitamins from within. It is basically a dead end and that is why we have to be more careful on how much we treat it with harsh chemicals. In addition, if you are not careful enough you can also burn your scalp with the chemicals which is bad news for re-growth!

are you using permanent or temporary color? if it's temp color just wash your hair thoroughly to rinse away any residual color. then re-dye.
