Hmmm, lets redefine those terms. Indoctrination as a child or converted as an adult.
Ask yourself, which has more value, believing something just because that was how you were raised to believe or making a conscious decision to believe/follow a religious doctrine?
In my opinion thinking for yourself and choosing your path is far more meaningful than doing something without wondering or understanding why you are doing it.

They could be equally powerful, if the person who was introduced to faith as a child subsequently embraced it in a personal, deliberate, conscious act.
