If the Harry Potter series is all you can focus on, you are destined to needing to get a life. The Harry Potter books are escapist, fun, fantasy, something to stretch a child's (and adult's) imagination. I don't think any strange religious cult or devil worshippers are going to result from the publication of these books. I'd be waaay more concerned with all the wars and intolerance in the world.

No, for sure no longer. Christian conception states that as long as you repent on your sins and settle for Christ as your savior, you'd be kept. I even do not recognize how merely analyzing the Harry Potter books is often construed as sinful. no man or woman is worshipping them; they're admitted works of fiction. truly, most of the recommendations contained in the e book are Christian. Dumbledore can make an suited Christian inclusive of his movements of nonviolence and self-sacrifice. And certain, the present Pope (Benedict XVI) supposedly condemned Harry Potter. besides the undeniable fact that, what he actual stated is under no circumstances condemning: "it truly is reliable, that you enlighten human beings about Harry Potter, because those are diffused seductions, which act skipped over and with the help of this deeply distort Christianity contained in the soul, in the previous it may boost suitable." in reality, he theory that the books could turn a no longer-so-religious Christian right into a non-Christian. per chance so, yet when a persons'' already on the fence, many stuff would have an similar effect. also, that's worth stating that he wrote this in a letter in the previous he replaced into the Pope. He would have examine the books contained in the period in-between and altered his recommendations. as of overdue, he has been silent on the region. on the different hand, the overdue Pope (John Paul II) praised the Harry Potter books, many times for an similar causes I actually have. A spokesperson for John Paul II stated, "they help little ones to inform the version between reliable and evil." So which Pope could we believe? that's my conception that Pope John Paul II replaced into acceptable and that the books are reliable.

Something that a lot of people need to understand is that Harry Potter is fiction. You can read a fun book and still believe in God and Jesus. Besides, compared to a lot of books and movies, Harry Potter is really, really on the soft side.

Why should they. They have given so much joy and delight to children all over the world. They have done such a virtuous job that I think they are destined to Heaven if there is any. And if for any reason if christians vote against them and they do not get entry there, they can always go to Hogwart which is also a nice place. So may be then we will have one more afterlife destination. And it will become more popular than heaven or hell. So Hogwart can be the new frontier.

NO,no way,it might be that harry Potter is evil,I don,t know, but to say that everyone who helped make Harry potter books and movies are destined for Hell is the biggest lie that you could ever believe.......First of all life is a road of learning experiences, and we all make mistakes....We can all be forgiven for our mistakes, for we having a loving and forgiving God....Now if Harry Potter things are really evil, then you could say that these people that was involved in the Harry Potter things could be sinning,if so and IF they were to continue in these ways and never see their evil and keep being evil than yes they could go to Hell, however who,s to say that these people might see their evil ways and ask for forgiveness.....God would forgive them.....If that were so that they are doomed, then that means that all thiefs, murderers, dopers, whoremongers are doomed also.....The only way a person is doomed for Hell is for them to continue in their evil ways, and NEVER repent, they fail to listen to their God given inner voice......Remember Jesus forgave to man next to him on the Cross,He was a thief.David was a man after Gods own heart and he committed adultary, and had the woman he wanted, had her husband killed...Always understand that the evil we do is forgiven if only we see our evil ways and repent, then you can be forgiven and we will not be destined to Hell........sincerery Slickcut

Why would they be? It's fantasy, and fantasy is sometimes nothing more than trying to strengthen our minds and hearts in trying times by imagining ourselves better able to do what appears to be impossible, by creating the impossible means of achievement for entertainment and stimulating purposes. The woman who wrote the books rescued herself and her children from a life on welfare, opened up the minds of millions of people, inspired writers, and well, could anyone ever be "destined" for hell? Again, why should they be?

I cannot answer your question, as I don't know what else the writers are "guilty" of, but hopefully I've managed to at least give my opinion upon a confusing question.

No, it''s just a book/movie series. If being involved with them or even reading the books & watching the movies dooms you to hell, then we're ALL going to hell(because anything you do is a sin).

Actually, christian opposition to magic was humanity's idea, not God's. It started in the early dark ages when these people with really cool, flashy looking powers were considered to be mentally ill, and thus were discriminated against. Later, in the Renaissance, the average christian got the crazy idea that all magic comes from Satan, and they started telling the non-average christians what they thought. So at that point every christian was racist against people with awesome powers, and God was like "Eh, whatever" so he did nothing about it. So now we have the assumption that people with awesome supernatural powers and those who support them are evil. And the fact that every person that anyone knew about with awesome supernatural powers was coincidentially not christian didn't help. So we now have the false assumption that wizards, witches, and everyone who likes either one are evil.

No, the Bible tells us not to be witches/wizards and not to let them live. It says nothing about writing about them. Besides, Harry Potter teaches morals and values to people, but Christian fundementalists only look at what the Bible tells us.
