1 week since what?
your last period or are you one week late?
either way you are probably best waiting a few days before repeating the test. Most tests are accurate these days, they can give a false negative if done too early though/
And maybe waiting to see if your next period arrives is the best thing for now anyway

pregnancy tests bought from a chemist will show a pregnancy from between 8 to 14 days of conception. So i would suggest you try again , but if in doubt you should always go to the family planning clinic for the morning after pill, unless you are trying for a baby

First of all, you obviously need to wait longer if you are going to use a pregnancy test. Why don't you go to the doctor? Or is this "one of those" situations? Wait another week and then take one.

If you're only in the first week of your cycle, there isn't a pregnancy test on earth that's going to detect elevated HCG. Well, maybe a blood test, but I know that my ob/gyn wouldn't order one for me if I called him and told him I had sex a week ago. The embryo probably wouldn't even be implanted yet.

Either go to the doctor or get an early response pregnancy test; I think you can use the early test a week after intercourse.

Go and visit your local health centre and see someone in the family planning clinic there, they will be able to confirm whether or not you are pregnant. What ever the outcome, good luck in whatever decision you choose.

its probably best to wait for a couple of weeks. read the box of a test called first response... thats supposed to be the test that can detect pregnancy earliest.

some pregnancy tests are accurate on the day your period is due, so I think you are taking the test too early
