you are definitely overweight, you should need to lose some weight.

If you were to look at a BMI chart, you'd find that you're at 25. At that level, according to the chart, you're "overweight" but not obese. So officially, yes. Your chances of developing certain weight-related complications are higher than they should be, though not terrible.

I'm sorry to tell you that there is no way to just lose stomach fat. You can do sit-ups and crunches all day, but you'll just develop stronger abdominal muscles, not lose the fat on top of them. Everyone has a six pack, it's just that the layer of fat obscures it on many people.

You have to exercise and diet. To lose the fat in the first place, I'd say to a gym routine. What worked really well for me was running 15 minutes on an elliptical or crosstrainer (low impact on the knees), a light weight routine (5-8 lb free weights for arms, maybe 30-60 for weight machines for legs.) and an ab workout, then 15 more minutes on the cardio. That's the big thing for losing fat: do cardio stuff. If you want to know more about it, there are a dozen health sites on the internet -- but they get confusing. I think it would be better to go to a gym and talk to one of their trainers. Tell them what you want to achieve and ask them about healthy-goal setting.

Dieting is different than a lot of people think. Eating less food will not make you skinny. It will lower your metabolism and make you lethargic, two things that together cause weight gain. So eat a healthy ammount. Lots of veggies, not a whole lot of soda, and healthy portions of meat and fruit and bread and all that good stuff. There are a thousand healthy ways to diet that don't actually mean eating cardboard for breakfast and paying $100 /month for special food. Do a quick web search or go to the nearest Borders and find the "self-help" or "self-improvement" section.

If you're asking the question, you're probably self-conscious, or think you should be. The main thing to know is that you need to motivate yourself and you have to be dedicated to it. No "Oh, I'll get back on it tomorrow" because I can guarantee you'll say the same thing the next day.

Good luck!

Low calorie high fiber diet with exercize and drink lots of water!

I've lost 20 lbs since June through this, it's definitely worth it.

Some good tummy-fixing exercises are super easy.

Lay on the ground and keep your legs straight and then slowly sloowly lift them until they are 22 degrees to the ground and hold it for 5 seconds. Then to 45 degrees. And then 90, then back down. Do it 10 times. Circle your legs slowly 10 times both directions, cycle them, etc. I've lost 8lbs in the past 2 weeks from doing these and a few other exercises.

If you're a young woman and you diet to lose the fat, the unfortunate reality is that you're going to lose it in your breasts first. One of nature's most cruel realities. So the only answers you have are to either exercise away the inches in your belly (especially pilates which tone muscle not just burn fat) or to exercise plus diet anyway and use a Wonderbra to make up for the lost inches in your breasts.

You are a little overweight. There is no way controlling where you lose fat first. I just want to lose some fat on my thighs and butt, but I lose it on my boobs first. *cry*
