I just bought one for my daughter at Walmart and paid $15 for it. It's a ceramic one made by Conair. It works good and she likes it.

FHI makes a great flat iron.
I bought mine from Overstock.com for $75 when the retail price was $150.
They're a little expensive but reallyyy worth it. I can run the iron over a section of my hair one time and its veryy straight.

well my grandma is a stylist and she gave my mom a iron called chi, global beauty network inc. its straitens really good but any straightener from chi works great. just remember when you straiten your hair straiten it to the side not from your roots and down.
