My boyfriend gets online to play poker all the time. he doesn't play on real money, he also says he talks to people and wants to make new friends online.. he reasures me that he would never leave me and that he loves me to death and he says he aint goin anywhere,, should I belive him on that?

He doesn't get into chat rooms or anything, it's just poker sites that he loves to get in to. We do spend time together, we watch movies and all at night and then afterwards he'll get on poker.lol.

yes some poeple just love their computers i can relate. its not just meeting people online although i enjoy that too..but sometimes i enjoy just using mycomputer.........dont worry hes fine

You won't be able to break the habit - believe me I've tried. My bf had the same problem, except on Myspace, later I find he
is flirting with all these girls on there. It's not worth the headache. If you want a man who lives more in the REAL world than in the cyber world, you'll need to find a new boyfriend. Besides - why would you want to waste time on someone who would rather play online poker than spend more time with you??

It sounds as if he is an addict. You need to talk to him about maybe reducing the time on the Net and find other things to do together that both of you enjoy. Hopefull he isn't gambling or into porn. That would be harder to break. If you think he is up to no good.....get a spyware on your computer like iambigbrother you can track everything he is doing secretly from the control panel or remotely. I know this sounds shady but I would do it to put my mind at ease. I wouldn't do it if you couldn't handle finding out some pretty bad stuff though.

my soon to be hubby is a computer genius and spends most of his time on the internet. Though the are some great perks to this relationship. Let him play his game thou- he will get bored eventually. In fact why not play with him?! I did with my guy on some games and its great! I would trust him he just does it for fun. Now if hes iggnoring you- set some standards- like how long he can play before he has to get off- or time for quality alone time together. have fun!

Yup. My husband sits on the internet from the time he gets up until the time he goes to bed playing an online game. He definitly ain't going anywhere... except for on that computer.

you should believe him if you think you have reason to believe him. you doubt him, there must be a reason you are doubting. spend time with him when he is on the net, if that bothers him, then you might have a problem
