I am a 31 year old, educated, straight, childless woman who would very much like to have a family. I am extremely shy and don't know how to meet, where to meet or how to approach men. The bar scene is not my thing. Can anyone help?

usually it's join a club that does things that intrest you get out there and meet people socialise with work mates surely you have made friends at work or are you the shy type that hopes someone will notice you and speak to you could be along wait there try to gain some confidence in yourself you have to mix there is no other way. i wish you well on your quest. good luck

May I suggest that you try an internet dating site...something like www.plentyoffish.com for starters. Place your likes, dislikes, interests, goals, picture. Then respond to emails for starters, then narrow down whom you like to meet. Perhaps meet for coffee/lunch. Then if things progress, dinner/movie. I am sure you will be able to take things from there. The internet medium is always easier as you using words/type as opposed to face-face communication. Hope that helps.
