Well the age thing isnt important at all. What is important is the fact that he has another lover besides your friend living with him else where. Did your friend have any clue that she wasnt his one and only? If not then she should go ahead and leave him. Tell her she is too young to be having a mental break down over a guy that has proven himself not worthy of her affections.
And remember that he most likely wasnt her one true love, otherwise he wouldnt have felt easy about keeping another woman on the side.

I dated a man 17 years older than me...and it definitely did not work out...but I think he was pretty neurotic to begin with.
If your friend and this guy are on the same page in regards to what they want out of the relationship (marriage? casual dating? sex? etc...), then I don't see why they shouldn't pursue it. Age doesn't seem to matter as long as they are together for the right reasons.

Love can be a beautiful thing, but it is true that love is blind, for it sees no age nor color. Love can also be hard to find, true love that is. So if it is love, go for it, I would never worry about the age difference

hi, well to answer your question, i am currently dating and been living with my boyfriend who is 19 years older than me. i'm 23 he's 41. trust me it's not easy at all. to be with someone that much older than you you have to comprimse alot.you have to understand that he has been through alot and knows alot. all though he isn't always right. your friend shouldn't be with someone that much older than her unless she is ready to comply with his needs but he should comply to hers too. if you have anymore questions let me know!
