yes they are i own a repair shop,,ans have done some minor work on a few of them,,they seem to be real good cars,,i have a customer that owns two of them,,and he likes them a lot,,i don't ever have to do any major work to them,,so that's a good sign,,if your going to buy one just make sure it is in good shape,,take it to a mechanic and see what he says,,let them check it out good for you,,i hope this helps.

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF GM DISCONTINUED THE OLSMOBILE BRAND. THE ALERO WAS PRETTY MUCH IDENTICAL TO THE CHEVY MALIBU AND PONTIAC GRAND AM. THEY ALL SHARED THE SAME CHASSIS AND PARTS. SO UNLESS GM DISCONTINUES CHEVROLET AND PONTIAC, THE PARTS WILL BE PLENTIFUL.
