It looks like even marines are looking for a point to the Iraq war...I mean I support our troops completely...but Is it fair that we have to wait for the Iraqi Govt to get thier crap together while our boys get shot at?

Given that the total death count for 11-Sep-01 is 2,752, and we are now at 2,601, we really don't have a excusable rational for staying. We never had a reason to go INTO Iraq while we were still hunting for Bin Laden in Afghanistan! Our resources should have been spent blanketing the area from the Russian border to the north, India to the east and down to the Indian Ocean to find that b@astard.

Instead we head over to Iraq to free a people who can't stop their internal bickering long enough to run their own backyard, radicals who are using the same types of tactics that killed 47,378 US troops in Viet Nam and dumped enough money into this fiasco to put us further into dept than we have ever been in our entire history!

Get our troops out and give redeploy them to the job we should have been doing - hunting down and eliminating Bin Laden and his network. We have a legitimate beef with him and any region that supports his forces. THAT is where we should be fighting.

(edited for spelling and typos - sorry, this subject really gets under my skin)

we went there because they started a long time ago with us didn't they? Wasn't it before 9-11 haven't we been there a long time . I think the news takes over with making people think this all just started or something. I just hope we finish this up this time. We got oil lets use it to drop gas prices . why are our oil wells capped ?What wasn't gas on the rise back with Desert Storm or the gulf war? Wasn't gas prices high at 1.00 a gal. when you only made 8 bucks a hour and a car cost 8,000 and a house was 60,000. instead of 1/2 mil. well dont blame this war on gas and oil. its about freedom sir /mam it just wasn't a war . by the way why was it a war then it wasn't now it is again? We sure have had many Battles but war No i dont think they use that world right yet. I dont think we've had a war yet.The Japanese got it right when the said I think we've done nothing but wake up a giant. So look out when we have had enough then the World Will Know the Power of the UNITED STATES

Actually I dont think American troops are doing any thing for the benifit of Iraq. Because before the war no terrorist attacks were recorded in Iraq. Its right that Sadam was a terrible guy but during his rule The Iraqies were safe at their homes at least!
Every day more than 59 Iraqies get killed by terrorist attacks that's of course beside American troops shot every day.
America didn't find chemical weapons or any **** from what Bush and Rice were filling our ears about, so why did you go there?!

Was it the oil? Congratulations ! The oil prices reached now their highest rates at all in the history!

Was it for terrorists? Congratulations! No place in the world is full of them like Iraq now!

Well done America!!

Some stuff happening in Iraq is major flashback for older folks, and disgusting lesson. During Vietnam Hills were taken given back and retaken. Turkey Hill comes to mind. Sure folks there can add many more. TV coverage was highly controlled, but there were leaks of of Service People saying WHAT THE F--- going on. They nor US public know how many lives on both sides were lost for PR stunts, and the same blanking crap is going on again. Support the troops bring them home, or support politician looking for points with others blood.

I support our soldiers by wanting them out of Iraq. In what way would additional casualties validate those that have gone before? Further, unless we become firm about removing our military presence there is no incentive for the Iraqi army to step up.

Interesting to read that they are starting to wonder about the scope and purpose of the mission; no one has given them any reason to doubt that the people are supporting the military members.

The Corpsman who're assigned to the Marines in Iraq are knowledgeable in all factors that the Marines are previous to deployment. The lifesaving skills are needed in conflict and the wellness and welfare of the lads is dependant on the talents and training the HM's very own. Be it the hydration, sleep, residing circumstances, sewage, and wellness care the dollar stops with the Corpsman. The marines i comprehend, do distinguish between pogs and grunts and granted they do experience that the grunt is the authentic marine, the corpsman is given a undeniable place interior the middle of the two. flow consult from somebody related to your modern emotions, you will discover you're no longer on my own. do no longer permit the opinion of one man or woman impact you with regard to the militia. hear to each thing, study as much as you are able to, and detect a mentor who's added on my own the line you opt for for to trip.

I guess your attachment to your comment was different when I opened it. No where in it was that side presented. We need Iraq to succeed as a free nation before we leave. I can just see the comments if we did leave too early. "Bush" leaves Iraq too early" "Bush loses in Iraq" "Terrorist to much for Bush in Iraq"
No matter what happens in Iraq, of one thing I am sure of, unless it is good news, it will be assumed as a Bush failure. If it works it will be because of the Iraq people and no thanks to Bush.

Thats a novel concept! I've never equated fairness with war before. Hmm.

If we don't wait, then all that have fallen , will have fallen in vain. The evil will spread. The Marines would rather fight on foreign soil than our own.

This whole war was and is unfair. Your marines & troops shouldn't have been there at all.
