I have had it for over a week now and still getting new 'blisters'. My daughter has just started with it.
We have a eurodisney trip booked next week..are we allowed to go?
I know you cannot fly with chickenpox but we are going by coach and ferry and I cannot find any information on this.

I know what chickenpox is and how it is spread, I am a paediatric nurse. But nowadays people don't have to be isolated with chickenpox . You could be sat next to someone on the bus with it anywhere.
Immune suppressed people run that risk every day
My question was Am I ALLOWED to travel?
I contracted it three weeks ago
I started with the spots in Lanzarote. i believed myself to be immune and actually flew back in a plane last week!

The coach/ferry companies would be well within their rights to refuse to carry you. If you and your daughter are still getting new spots it sounds as though you're still contagious. You'll have to get a doctor's certificate to say you're safe to travel - if you leave it until nearer the time you may be ok.
Good luck! I had chicken pox as an adult too - hideous isn't it?

Not sure, i know that the reason that you aren't allowed to fly is because of the air being recycled and therefore any one susceptible to it will get it, would of thought it would be the same thing on a coach as you will be in close proximity with other people.
Also there is the question of whether you should whilst you are contagious, as there may be people that are immune compromised or pregnant.

No. Chickenpox is a highly contagious disease and if you're getting new blisters you will infect those around you.
I would contact your doctor and let him make a determination as to when it would be safe.

Hi, it is best to have a doctor to confirm it is chicken pox first. This is because it might be other ailments like alergy or rashes. If it is, your doctor will be best to let you know how soon he can be out of confinement. As the diesease is just starting, it may take a week or 2 for him to recover. Recovery varies from person to person. And after recovery and disappearance of scabs, he is still contagious for another week. So, if chicken pox, best to have him isolated at least 3 weeks, which will meant postponement of the trip by at least 3 weeks.

usually you have to wait until there are no new blisters and the ones you have are crusted over.Otherwise you are still infectious.Chicken pox can cause birth defects if caught by a pregnant woman
