i know a guy, and he likes one of my close friends(i found out from one of his friends). he lied about his age to her and me to make it seem like he was older than us, he requested songs for us at dances, and he talks to us a lot. my question is, 1.why is he doing it for me too, and 2.why doesn't he just tell her he likes her?

he's insecure and trying to hide it by lying and pretending he doesn't by treating both of you the same way. Tell your friend that if she likes him back to make a move and if he's still too cowardly to respond properly, then he's not yet mature enough to be in any kind of relationship.
