You can't make it out of a sweetener - it's made of melted strands of sugar. It only takes a little bit of sugar to make a big ball of it, but you need a candy floss machine to make it - you can buy home ones now.

Your best bet would be to find out how to make the real kind, then substitute Splenda realizing that the finished product would have 60-75% of the sugar recipe volume.

If you use the right kind of apples, they don't need any sweeteners at all! I too loved making applesauce with my mom and sister, and we never used any sugar, just boiled the apples in the peels and ground them up. Sometimes we'd add cinnamon, just before serving, but otherwise you don't really need it. Use sweet apples like Jonagold, Empire, Red Delicious and Mutzu and teach your tastebuds to simply appreciate nature's natural sweet taste!

candyfloss is made with real sugar, I dont see how you can use a substitute or even find one that'll fluff up like that.

im pretty shure that candyfloss is sugar and artifical flavoring that is injected with air and spunn around so it cannot be made without sugar.
