First of all i hope you keep searching for the truth and it will definately come to you.God will send you the right answers if you are truly searching.
First of all i would like to say that Christianity and Islam are virtually the same except and i say except Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet of God and not actually God himself.
I am glad that you have hit on very important points, why would Jesus(if it was Jesus on the cross) speak to God if he was God himself.
I was a christian for 27 years and converted to Islam because i myself could not find any answers on the trinity, no priest or preacher or any educated person could give me a proper answer on the trinity, they would try and compare it to worldly things but i was looking for answers not comparrisons.
Now if you read the Old testament God was always refered to as 1 and the ten commandments said dont give any partners to God. Jesus himself never said that he was god or gods son, it was Paul of Taursus(Saul) who said that, and he never even met, talked or walked with Jesus.
I feel that my answer would be to long so i will give you a very good link where you can watch a priest who used to preach against Islam, converted to Islam because he himself started to ask similar questions to yourself.
Visit www.islamalways.com and watch for free Priests and preachers entering Islam this will answer your question on the trinity. Or type in Sheikh Yusuf Estes in to google search, this is now his name.

Because according to Christianity, Jesus is part of a Triune God-head. The Father, the son, and the holy spirit. When he was dying on the cross, at the point when he took the sins of the world unto himself, the Father couldn't bear to gaze on him so he turned away. Hence the sky turned black and other phenomenon happened. Jesus had never been NOT under his father's watchful eyes, so he felt that absence keenly. Therefore, he cried out to him as he was also fully man and not just God.
It's a little confusing, but I hope that helps to clear it up some. I've been where you're at & I know what it is to be a seeker. Studying various religions can seem like wading through quicksand & you'll have people of all kinds either in an uproar, or trying to help. Hang in there & keep searching for the truth.

Good question. From what I remember from Sunday school and philosophy classes, Jesus considered himself to be the son of God, but not God himself. It was not until later, during the multiple church sanctioned interpretations of the Bible during the Middle Ages and such that the concept of the Trinity really solidified. God was seen as a coporal being (otherwise how could you stand before him and be judged, unless he had a shape to stand before?). However, so that God could be everywhere he also manifest Himself as the Holy Spirit, infusing everything. In the New Testament, He further manifest himself as Jesus, to carry out various works and provide a means for salvation. Thus, Jesus identified himself as the son of God and was a manifestation of God. However, on the cross Jesus would have been calling upon the embodiment of God.
You mentioned that you are studying Christianity and Islam, might I suggest that you also examine Hinduism? This progression is virtually the same as is recognized by them as avatars of their gods.

This was the prayer of David when he was suffering. David's suffering was only temporary. Jesus knew that his followers would also suffer. He told them that they would. He was preparing them for what they were about to face. See also John 19:28. Here Jesus says " I am thirsty" . They offer him wine vinegar. This reflects back to psalm 69:21" they put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst".
Jesus taught his disciples to the very end. We are to turn to God in our suffering. Some on here have said that Jesus was not God because he prayed to God. They say that God is the Father but he is not the Son. Do they not realize that both the Father and Son were in agony while Christ was being beaten and while he was on the cross. Think about it. Imagine yourself in either position. A father who watched his beloved son being killed, or a son experiencing this gruesome death. Of course a father would want to be close to his son, and the son would want to be close to his father. So Christ prayed, and together they wept. It really is not that hard to understand. All I have to do is remember that it is my sin that caused it to be necessary. With true repentance I cannot help but think how horrible the suffering was that I caused them both. Then it is clear why Christ prayed. Because they are in perfect unison. Jesus is God.

Jesus did this to show reference back in Psalm 22 where His death was predicted 600 years before He was born. God hates evil, and at the time of the exact death, maybe He averted His eyes because all the sin that Jesus was carrying with Him was more than He could bear.

If you look in 1st Corinthians chapter Jesus talks about the end times.. When he brings all those that are his before God and at this time turns all power and authority over and back to God so God can be the all and all. And then he takes his place beside God as the lamb of God. So how can Jesus be God.

first off the author of Psalms was King David not Jesus so it was King David (Israel speaking)
in the trinity there is God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
Some say the Holy Spirit is the feminine version of God who is loving, caring and nuturing to all. Holy Spirit is also the one sent to us when Jesus transcended to Heaven. Which in case the Holy Spirit replace Jesus in the spiritual form and not the Physical form.

Jesus was quoting a passage from the Old Testament, Psalm 22:1. This was a common practice for rabbis to quote a verse that pointed the listener to the surrounding passage (called remez). Read the rest of the psalm and see how it portrays the status of Jesus at this time. He was being placed in a position where He paid for all the sin of the world.
He was not saying that He Himself was forsaken, but was pointing people to the rest of the passage and the feeling of being abandoned by all at this time.

Very correct question you have asked. Jesus is not God if any body would have saying that Jesus was God, he would have ignorant. Jesus was good man and good man means God’s man. Just like we are children, he was also child of same God. But yes he was got blessings of God. He has some extra ordinary power than common man. If Jesus would have God then why he ask God to forgive sinner? he himself was not able to forgive?

Because Jesus is not God himself but merely a respresentation. And he asked so, because he thought god has abandoned him and the planned action. Whatever that plan was was never revealed in the Bible.
