What software is needed? How much is it or can i get it for free?
I am a complete novie so any advice would be helpful. I have bought the disks that are compatible with my computer and i have a dvd re writer built into my computer but after that i am clueless as to what to do next!

If you are gonna do it,don't broadcast it over the Internet, if you didn't know already,it is ILLEGAL !!

Simply save the dvd in your computer and then burn it on to a disc.You dont need any special software really.Windows media player or Record now will do.

hi if you are copying bought dvd films u need to get a copy of dvd shrink dounload it free.when you have downloaded it open prog and insert dvd press on re auther and drag the 2 titles that say main title across to left hand box andaway you go

Get a programme called DVD shrink. It is free.
It will resize commercial DVDs to fit on bought blank ones.
It will also remove region encoding.
Enjoy. It's not 'illegal' in every country. Boo hoo for the movie companies....I'm sure they're bankrupt.

If the burner is installed, you must have a "help" or "support" button. Check it out if you must do this and hope you don't get caught doing anything illegal - it carries big fines.

sometimes (dvd shink) won't works,in that case you (dvd decrypter),if still won't u need (vob blanker).no matter how the disc is protected there always a way to crack.for more info how to burn protcted dvd go to this site.

It isn't illegal if you use it for your own personal use, and nothing else (aka backing up). I use CloneDVD with AnyDVD, both have trials you can use!
