In other words, if I sell a car to a salvage yard so they can sell the parts/tires/glass, etc. (in my case, the car is in good shape but the engine is bad), what price should I request/expect for it?
Thanks

They might even charge you to dump the car. Not knowing what it is your trying to sell as salvage. Year, make, Model. Donation centers "cars for kids" will give you appraised value donation to Charity, You keep the paper work and use at tax time

It'd be better to sell the parts yourself, if its a popular kind of car. Most junkyards will be lucky to give you $100, and they are taking it away for you. So, like I stated, sell most of what you can first, like maybe Ebay, and then call the junkyard afterwards. I plan on doing this soon, on one of my rides.

Not much. $25-100. I just give my cars to the junk yard when I'm done with them.
