Greed, they don't care about the future generations only about personal power.

Why are people conceited enough to believe they have the power to destroy or save the Earth? If you believe in evolution, then if we destroyed every species (including ourselves) except for a few microbes, the Earth would recover. It might take a few years, but the Earth has a long time. 'Saving the Earth' is not just a small matter of recycling or volunteering in an animal shelter.

I know a bunch fo people who think by turning off that one light or or turning down the air a bit they cannot see a differnece in the world. The same goes with volenteering sometime you dont see what your work meant to another person. We are an instant gratification generation, and like to do things and will imedietly better our lives and others.

Curb your ego, human being are not destroying the earth. It's been through a lot worse than us in it's 4 billion year lifetime. We may be destroying our own ecosphere and environment. But the earth is self healing and self correcting. Human beings need to understand that we are a very very small part of the earth. Of the Earth, not just on it.

Well, it would take a LOT more than just recycling and volunteering at an animal shelter for us humans to live sustainably and repair some of the damage done, that is for sure! It is a kind of overal holistic consciousness that is also required. One must be able to think on a huge interdisciplinary cosmic way and see how it is all connected and interconnected.

Materialistic addicts whose false egos are self absorbed and into me-myself and I, material madness, sense gratification, power, control, money and survival mode (without God consciousness) they can't help themselves or others or the Earth Mother until they start awakening and diminish the size of their egos and remember that they are here NOT to serve themselves, but they are here to serve their Creator. They are mostly in an adolescent independent rascal phase and are not likely to awaken and change until they are more mature-evolve. That will require them sufffering a lot of pain-karma too. Most sleeping souls on this earth are just here serving their senses, playing with matter in an attempt to control or enjoy matter. You know, "He who dies with the most toys wins" selfish philosophy. These behaviours and pathologies are also a reflection of soul age and soul evolution, and how Self Realized and God Realized a spirit soul is. Most people are working on false self or false ego realization, NOT Self Realization! The humans on this earth are mostly younger souls, and the HUGE majority are body, false ego and drama identified, so they haven't the heart, depth, moral conscience or consciousness to see past their tiny miserable worlds and live as their True Self (spirit souls-divine servants of the divine).

In 1990 it was estimatead that of the 6.4 billion souls here on the planet, that 5-6% were infant souls, 20% were baby souls, 30% were young souls, 33% were mature souls and less than 10% were old souls. I think that those figures have changed some, but the baby souls are the ones who have the highest population explosions going on, so the net consciousness on this planet is plummetting. It takes a mature soul to have some heart opening and to become environmentally concerned for this ailing planet earth and all the resources the Creator provided us. As we are older souls and are coming to understand the mystery some,we can become less detached about this material disaster here on earth and focus on being satisfied with our God-Self Realization goals-processes in life on earth. Besides that is one of the other main purposes of life on earth anyway (besides knowing loving and serving Him devotionally) to figure this "illusion" out and get out of matter before it gets even worse. It is much more awesome to play with Spirit than matter anyway. Spiritual beauty is much more beautiful than material beauty!

No one can be more awake than they are meant to be! We awaken when we are meant to awaken, but it sure is a frightening thing to watch sometimes, isn't it, everything going down the toilet? You sound like an idealist like me who values cooperation, respect, reverence, order, piety, caring, compassion and beauty a lot. Are you an INFJ personality type? I do as much as I can, but few seem to care. So devotional prayer may be the best thing to do, along with being in constant integrity yourself, while serving Him in devotional service as many milliseconds of the day-night as possible. Remember, this is just a temporary illusion-story we are riding in. Be focused on knowing, loving and serving Him, not all the problems here the millennia of sleeping souls have created here due to their rascaldom, selfishness, ignorance and undisciplined passions.

"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
