I keep hearing illegal immigration in the news, but Bush thinks it shouldn't be enforced. So if you don't enforce something how can it be illegal?

It's all political, Bush is afraid that if he were to crack down on illegals, his party would lose a lot of Hispanic votes. If Americans will exercise their God given right and go out and vote, we would notice quite a lot of changes in how this country is run. PLEASE remember YOUR VOTE does matter.

Sorry, kinda got away from the question a little, but I feel it's important that we make changes.

Enfocement has nothing to do with illegality. I don't know what you say you've heard about, but it's not accurate. Immigration beyond the current "green-card lottery" is illegal. President Bush has not directed the Border Patrol or the Immigration people to not enforce these laws. So enforcement is still in place. What the Pres has suggested is we pass a law whereby illegals already in the USA could apply for a guest worker status and contine to work here.

Well Bush has lost some of his supporters due to his House Of Pancakes Waffles Special stance on illegal immigration.

Legal immigration is fine, and acceptable under US law. Illegal immigration is not fine, nor is it acceptable under US law. We have to do away with appeasement politics and actually start having the law enforced again.

Support the border fence,
The US Border Patrol
Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Service
and employer level enforcement.

Write your city council today to emphasise LEGAL immigration only...

Immigration is only illegal if you enter a country say on a visitors visa and then take job and get paid for it/stay longer than your visa allows you to stay.

You can legally immigrate to different countries by filling out all the appropriate paperwork and following the immigration laws of that country.

The people who sneak in without permits are illegal. Many come with permission. The reason Bush doesn't enforce it is because there are at least 12 million and possibly as high as 20 million illegal immigrants. If you follow policy to come here, you are legal and welcome.

Because its up to we the people to demand that government be held accountable for its actions. Bush's War on Terror in Iraq, Afganistan, and soon to be Iran is taking away government resources that could be used to solve many domestic problems. Such as lax border engourcement. You put Marines on the border and I guarantee illegal immigration would end.

Bush took an oath to uphold our laws and Constitution. Just because he isn't a man of his word does not mean illegal immigration isn't illegal.

There are lots of crimes and misdemeanors that the government enforces only selectively. Unfortunately, selective prosecution is no defense.

This administration uses the law -- and its power -- to the advantage of its friends, making them rich and the rest of the population poor. Trouble is that the body politic doesn't seem to realize what is happening, that their currency is depreciating. And so on. Only in America do so many people vote over such irrelevant issues that don't concern them really, but which excite them to hatreds and hostility.

And the super-rich build more McMansions and laugh all the way to the bank.
