What should I do? My oldest children living with their father in michigan think i left them for my boyfriend of 12 yrs. Not true.
But My ex has always tried to possess or control my life in one way or another. What should I do?

Be happy. You're an adult and you can make your own decisions. Your ex doesn't control your life, only you.

I 'assume' that your children probably resent your boyfriend rather than where you live. I also assume that they are with their father by choice. And since you're the adult here, you have a right to live where you choose. I expect they have the right to visit you, if they so choose.

Your the adult and your happiness is what matters to.
You need to tell your children that you love them no
matter what. I'm sure they want you to be happy to.
Explain to them in a way that supports why you live
in Florida. Your committment to them even if it is
by phone is another way to keep in touch.

Depends on how old your kids are. If they are old enough, tell them to grow up. If not, explain to them that you need to live your life too and that you still love them.
