Artwork? Wine? Maybe flowers? Too feminine?

Artwork is pretty personal and unless you are sure of his taste, let him chose that himself. Wine seems more like a dinner party gift and flowers are too feminine. I would buy something that will last forever... a tree to plant in his yard. If he doesn't have a yard then choose a "Welcome" sign or a "God bless this house" sort of thing. What is his favorite food? A bread machine? A pizza pan? A sushi set? A fondue? How about just a beautiful houseplant in a great pot or hanging basket? Book ends if he likes to read. A cool mailbox? A string of outdoor lights? Lanterns? Grill utensils? Think about what he likes to do most and go from there.

A big screen t.v! A computer. Too much money? Hmm, settle on cooking utinsils, a really good knife set, guys love those. A BBQ thingy--guys love to BBQ. Even glass cups if he doesn't have any. For the living room, go for a fish tank! If he likes fishes. A shoe rack. An indoor plant usually makes your house elegant. An ionic breeze! A bean bag from Fredericks. A new curtain. A new cabinet for the t.v. Chairs for the dinner table. A new dinner table. A really nice toilet. A blanket, pillows. Mats for the front and restroom floors. Lamps. Plenty of options, see what he needs.

Depends on what your brother's and his wife's tastes are. If they like wine a nice bottle of wine is a good idea.

Maybe a gift certificate to home depot or home outfitters or pier 1, if they haven't finished getting all the housewares and stuff they need. Does one ever really finish a house LOL.

You know your brother's taste and what your pocketbook can afford. I'm sure you'll find something.

Plants are nice, bar ware is great if he drinks, a small kitchen appliance is good too- capachino machine, Cuisinart, toaster oven that sort of thing. A basket with the ingredients to make a meal is a cool gift- pasta, sauce, garlic, loaf of bread and red wine

Hope that helps

If he's a young guy, get him some kitchen gadgetry like a hot dog maker or a football shaped crock pot.
A nice set of knives is a good idea too. They have a nice one at JC Penney that comes with chopping mats.
I always like to look at a set of photo frames or a leather photo album set. I am drawn to those isles in stores.

Gift card to Home Depot, or Bed, Bath and Beyond. If he's single you can also get him really nice towels. Single guys always have cheap towels, and there's a huge difference - especially when he has someone stay over.

He will be needing to buy a lot of unexpected things for his new house, especially if he is moving out of an apartment. Maybe the most appreciated gift would be gift a gift certificate from Lowe's or Home Depot.

what does he need.. today most people would be happy if you gave them something they don't have but need.. if you are stuck for sure try gift cards you can get them for so many different stores from grocery stores to home depot.... and so many others in between.....if he plans on doing some renovations then go with Home Depot gift cards....
