What I found most effective is to not go onto a "diet plan" but to reduce refined sugars, add veggies and fruits, add whole grain products like rice, reduce saturated fats. I lost 15+ in two weeks. I am now adding 30 min of walking/per day (this is tough because of a damaged hip and lower back)
If you do not climb on scales every day, just dramatically reduce refined sugars (reading labels necessary) you will be surprised at the results and you will not feel like you are on a "diet" but just taking better care of yourself. To many people the term diet is limiting, so trick your mind into saying instead of that cold sweetened drink, I will have unsweetened iced tea or cranberry juice or something. Avoid carbonation like in pop as well, (DR Pepper is my downfall, I can now make a 12 oz bottle last all day). Carbonation keeps your stomach stretched so ti tales more to feel full,so drink lots of water too. When you friends ask you what you are doing you can tell them you are not dieting, just eating better, have camera ready for the pictures.
P.S. this is also working for my brother who has gone from over 280 to 212, I just started and gone from 257 to 247 in a month.

First of all are you overweight? Then if you are then you do need to go on a diet. Remember, eat the healthy foods such as vegetables, fruits, grains, meats, dairy products, and only eat the fatty foods wisely. But remember only eat moderate amounts of these foods. And always exercise whether if its cleaning around the house, going for a walk, parking your car further, or going up and down the stairs. Good Luck!!!!

if you need to lose a few pounds and don't just think you do you should eat less and what you do eat eat the food that is good for you not fast food or chips and all the other high in fat food. Do some hting than just sit around all day walk or go to a gym with a friend.
