A couple of things. Its more the idea than the actual gift though. :
1. A toggle bracelet (I think i can attach charms to it if I want) with a heart attached. he had the heart engraved with a sepcial message that means something to us on one side, and love (name) and the date of my b-day on the other. now I can wear it everyday and be reminded of him (all my girl friends thought it was really cute and that I have the best boyfriend in the whole world..I happen to aggree hehe)
2. He surprised me. He told me he had to work that day (i was really dissappointed)...and some friends told me they were taking me out at 10:00 in the morning instead so be ready. When I came out of my room expecting my friends to be there, there was my sweetie all dressed up with a rose, and he took me out for the day. (shopping with a gift certificate, somewhere that we love to hang out and then to a nice restuarant) I was very surprised and happy.
3. this is something he did recently for our anniversary...I had seen a sign for a show I really want to go to, and mentioned that it looked neat. It was a long time ago and very casual...but he remembered! and he knows I love theatre, and he got us tickets. The fact that he remembered that little detail and surprised me made me feel very loved and special.

His time. He cooked an amazing meal and then gave me his full attention. Time can sometimes be a precious commodity in this day and age. Knowing that he made those arrangements meant a lot to me.

well, from my girlfriend, she cooked dinner for me from scratch! let me know she loves me by putting the effort to cook it for me and was very glad about it and explains to me how much i meant to her.
