What should I do?

I have tooth trouble . . . I am twelve years old and I still have four baby teeth to loose. My orthodontist and dentist both keep telling me that they really need to fall out soon because I have to get my second phase of braces soon. I was supposed to get them at the beginning of August, but I couldn't because I still have baby teeth. I am just really afraid to pull them. Please don't ask me why because I just really don't know. They are just barely hanging in my mouth. I don't know what to do. Whenever I eat, they really bother me and I can barely chew my food. Whenever I bump them on accident, they start to bleed. Please help me!!

Dentists call "pulling a tooth" an extraction. Most people don't have enough room in their mouths for their wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth are also called "third molars" and a dentist may call pulling this tooth, " third molar surgery ".

The Atlanta Dental Group provides our patients with most oral surgery services including pulling teeth and the removal of wisdom teeth. Most oral surgery procedures go very well, take less than an hour and are done in our office. Our dental practice will see emergency patients to pull a tooth.

The oral surgery patient is seated and completely numbed. It's important to wait and allow the numbness to sink in fully. The dentist checks the depth of the anesthesia by making a small incision around the wisdom tooth. Once it is confirmed that the patient is completely numb the incision is lengthened and the gum tissue is gently pulled away from the wisdom tooth. If any of the surrounding bone is in the way, it is then removed. If needed, the wisdom tooth is then gently sectioned into pieces and the pieces are then removed. Finally, sutures ( stitches ) are placed so that the gum tissue lays back into place correctly.

The dentists at the Atlanta Dental Group believe that most oral surgery patients should be placed on antibiotics after any oral surgery procedure, especially after wisdom tooth removal. All patients are then seen post operatively one week after their oral surgery procedure and there is no additional fee for this visit if it's solely to check the surgery site.

olrite am a dentist, if u calling the teeth to be hanging in your mouth.. then let me guarantee u that its very simple and u wouldnt even know a thing. besides, there wont be the need of any local anesthesia injection required before the tooth removal. all u wud require is just a topical application...i wudnt call the process as a tooth removal coz its just nothin but a small touch on the tooth that would be enough to take them out and BELEIVE ME WHEN I SAY THIS, U REALLY WONT EVEN KNOW THE PROCEDURE..so dont worry..trust me, its really nothing...

use an apple bite down on it were your baby teeth are this will take care of geting them out but it is no big deal to get them out if thier almost out already use some oragel on the gums and pull you wont feel any thing

Your primary teeth have very sharp 'roots' which is why it hurts so much when you bite, as the sharp part is digging into your soft tissue. Believe me, it will hurt less if you just pluck them out yourself, or let the Dentist do it.

I say, you should just get them pulled. You won't even feel it becuase of the novacane. And if you are scared of the novacane, most dentists have this pre-numbing gel so you don't feel the needle. Believe me, I had to have novacane last week and I was so scared but it didn't even hurt one little bit!! Good luck!

Let them remove them, you wont even feel it. It's no big thing, honest. You'll feel foolish afterward that you waited so long.
