Jeez I'm sorry the only thing I can think to tell you is possibly mix her cereal with apple juice instead of formula. You might want to check with your pediatrician first tho as they don't normally approve juices for babies under 6 months. Good luck to you !

At this age, she should just be given a few spoonfuls for tasting. A full meal of cereal is usually given when the baby is about 6 months. When she takes solids, she will need to be given water or her stools will be hard. My son takes the Nestle brand of cereals and he's fine with those - no problems with stools. You may want to start off with either the rice or the brown rice ones. Good luck!

My baby is also 4 months old and we have begun giving him cereal as well.
Are you sure you are mixing it right?
The amount that they get is usually so little that it should not be enough to make their stool hard. If it is, maybe you should give it a rest for a few days, then start with a smaller amount. For example, when my wife gives our son cereal, she uses a tiny medicine cup to measure it out, and it is very very thin when mixed.

Her poop should get harder now that she's eating some solids, but if she's having trouble going, you could thin it down by adding a little more water/formula/breastmilk (whichever you're using). I personally gave my daughter Earth's Best rice cereal and she never had any problems, but she had had the Gerber with bananas at my mom's too, and that was fine.

Tell ya daughters doctor she's having trouble going poop and he may tell you to try babylax. My son is 5 weeks old and we had to give him that because he was havin trouble going. But ask ya doctor 1st because on the box say ages 2-5 under that ask ya doctor. But we did it and only gave him half instead of the full amount worked within 5 mins of givin it to him. GOOD LUCK!

YOU SHOULD TRY TO FEED UR BABY A DIFFERENT BRAND OF CEREAL BECAUSE IT ALSO DEPENDS ON THE BABY AND WHAT THEY NEED BUT YOU SHOULD ALSO TALK TO UR DOCTOR ABOUT RECOMMENDING A DIFFERENT BRAND OF CEREAL TO HELP WITH UR BABY'S BATHROOM PROBLEM

Weird...That happened with my baby once, and it wasn't good...be sure to put VERY little, as they don't eat much, mix it with her milk..put 1/4 of an ounce, and NO more, or she'll get sick
Hope this helps!
