This is just a little poll to see what percentage of that generation is still alive. Please answer yes if you are part of that generation, or no if you are part of a newer generation. In the bible a generation is about 20 to 30 years. Israel became a nation in 1948. In 2 more years we will start the 3rd or 4th generation since that time. It's about time that Christians move that goal post of prophecy up. It would be ridiculous to still be saying that that generation will not pass away before Jesus comes in the year 2048, would it not?

Remember in the 80's when bible prophecy profit makers were getting everybody excited about the tenth nation joining the EU any day and this being that last prophecy to be fulfilled for Jesus to return? How many nations are in the EU now?

Depends on what a definition of a generation is. The religion I used to be in used the scripture in Psalms "three score and ten", so 70 years.
I leaned more toward your interpation.

Yeah, I remember the televangelists talking about that tenth country in the EU. They used to bring that up allot, now, not so much.

A biblical era is 40 years. it is why the Rapture crowd become all fired up about 1987 (40 years after 1947 - creation of Israel). at the same time as that bombed, they went to 1996 - because some Archbishop stated God created the international in 4004BC and they idea 6,000 years gave the impression of a good length. Then they were throughout 2000 because, whats up, new millenium and all that. Now that is all 2012. previously all that, Hitler become the anti-christ. etc etc. you would possibly want to shudder at a frame of mind that ought to correctly be incorrect, and then incorrect some extra, and then incorrect some extra cases and nevertheless imagine they have particular perception into the international.

I'm of the generation that saw the Zionists and Western powers take the land of Palestine away and created Israel over their destroyed villages, towns, fields and orchards.

I was born in 1975. Not old enough to remember the creation of the modern state of Israel, but old enough to remember EU enlargement.

Jesus said that he would return while some of them around him were still alive. They've been proven wrong before, they'll be proven wrong again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again...
