'cause she just HAD TO HAVE prada. she made the thirty thou, and more (presents, help with loans, therapy). another lad, seeing this, just asked everyone to send 'im some money. no reason. he, too, made bank. i want to see a neurologist. i can't, financially, or through my health care. i posted a plea for people to send me the cost of ONE starbucks coffe drink - roughly, between $2.50 and $5, though i'd've accepted $!, or free neurology... even affordable neurology (i live in berkeley, ca) - IF THEY COULD AFFORD IT. i posted it on my lj, myspace, friendster, okcupid, and craig's list. twice. two of my friends were furious. one kind stranger sympathised, but hadn't money to give. was i really so wrong? i didn't promise anyone anything. it wasn't a chain letter or ponzi scheme. i was polite, even witty, and, really, i need to get a neurological work-up. your thoughts?

i'm sure the girl's not urban legend. i'll get a link, tomorrow - i've been at this for, roughly, twelve hours; a job, in iteslf. i'd even take ten cents for each approved answer, on here. amazon's mechanical turk doesn't cut it. seriously.

i did not ask to borrow money, i asked for straight out gifts, as these others did. i couldn't repay a debt. i'm disabled, and, strangely enough, actually FORBIDDEN to work.

In terms of raising your credit score, if you get your credit card balances below half their limits, then your scores will increase. In terms of financial practicality, it's better to pay off credit cards, because the interest is higher than home mortgage interest, and it's not tax-deductible. I wouldn't say close the credit card accounts, because they're good to have in case of emergency, and you need the open tradeline to increase your credit depth. My suggestion would be to pay off the credit cards as much as you can, while still keeping enough back for a 20% down payment on the house, so you won't have to pay MI.

are you sure your anecdotal evidence, vis the girl and guy that 'made bank', isn't urban legend. I'm not saying it is necessarily, it just has the nurf of the stuff. I'm sorry to hear about your head, although I have neither the means not the skills to offer you help.

people are extreamly leary to give money to a "stranger" they dont know who the person is. they dont know if the money is going towards what they say its for and the promise to pay you back goes in one ear and out the other. i have been on several web sites and everyone of them, someone asks to borrow money for one thing or another. i feel for your situation but if i had money to give i would use it towards my family first.

I would love to destroy the people who waste their money on useless things! But I got no extra cash to do so.
