My husband has 4 yorkies that dispite extensive training will not be housebroke. Thus they potty in the floor alot especially when we are at work. I have devoloped lots of headaches and asthma. Does anyone have any suggestions? I clean the carpet all the time I keep them put up as much as possible. But I am wondering if this is a major health hazard as well.

you need far more help than anyone can give you. those dogs should not be left alone in the house in the day. you also have to many. they do not see you or your husband as the head dog. they think they rule and your problem proves that. i would be sick too if i had to put up with all that ****. you need to thin the pack out and show the one that is left who the master is. not by being mean but by being in charge. you can read good books on this but you will be the ones that need to change and do the right things. it is very hard work at first but pays off in the long run. good luck and if things stay the same it is your fault;

You very well could have an allergy to the amonia in the urine. Or the chemicals used to clean the carpet. If I were you I'd pull up the carpet and put down hardwood floors then seal them with multiple coats of polyurethane. In the mean time keep the dogs in a kennel or in the kitchen with no carpet. Unfortunately no matter how often you clean the carpet or if you hire a proffesional you will never get it all out. It seeps down into the pad. I'm sure there are lots of little nasty bacterias growing in there.

I agree with K9ResQ! You can become ill because of poor bathroom habits. Put them each in their crate(separate each one). Then take them each outside as soon as you get home from work or errands. Pull up the carpet and pad. You can be heading towards asthma, allergies, or other medical problems. Check with your medical DR. I started my dogs with a kennel appropriate size for size of dog, an they have not soiled their bed where they sleep.

I'm a guy, and individually, I don't like long nails. We know a lot of like lengthy, painted nails cause they're "so pretty", but I don't like them.

A little bit of toe nail is fine... but I agree along with you. Long nails are kinda gross.

That's the key word "especially when we are at work"; and yes this could be harmful to your health. These little darlings are going through separation anxiety, you should at least crate them or leave them in your backyard with lots of food and water while you are not there. I would never allow a dog to rule my house nor ruin it.
