Thow some burgers & dogs on the grill. Serve with baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, pasta salad, tomato salad or whatever type sides you & your guests prefer. If you are in a real pinch, serve up all types of finger foods such as chicken wings, potato skins, cheese sticks, veggie platter with dip, etc. Above all - don't forget plenty of beer, wine & sodas so everyone will have something to chose from for a beverage......Good luck in Vegas!!

You could make a vegtable tray with a bowl of ranch dressing , or vegtable dip. Goes fairly quickly. Maybe have a cook out, throw some hot dogs, brats, and burgers on the grill. Fruit salad, or watermelon, is good. If you like grilled corn, remove the corn silk, but not the husk, put the husk back in place, soak the ears of corn in water for a few minutes (10) Then put them on the grill for a few min. , put them back in the water for maybe 5 more min, then back on the grill. That is how my brother does it and it is the best corn . A variety of soda, kool-aid, and what ever else you want to drink, and it sounds like a party to me! (If you don't have a grill, you can still do the same on your stove, but just boil the corn for 10 min. without the husks, of course.) Add in some good music, and you're set!

It all depend on who is coming to your place! allrecipes.com has great ideas for many types of meals. For this time of year, if it's mainly friends, I would cook some corn on the cob since it's arriving fresh in our markets (be sure it's the day fresh when you cook it, never buy in advance). Maybe some hot-dogs on the BBQ with it served with juices and soft drinks and why not a homemade Sangria (cheap bottle red wine, 1l pineapple juice, sliced orange and lemon soda to taste). There you have all the ingredients for a nice and low cost party! If the company doesn't pay for all your fees, you want to save some money!

You could always try visiting foodtv.com and look at recipes for the show "30 minute meals". Its a quick and easy way to look up recipes if you're busy and dont wanna waste a lot of time in the kitchen. Might I suggest one particular episode http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_tm/episode/0,1976,FOOD_9997_33002,00.html where there are recipes perfect for entertaining. I just love the shrimp wrapped in prosciutto, so did everybody at the party.

If it were me I would put out cold cuts assortment and cheese platters with rolls so they could make their own sandwiches, along with a veggie tray and dip, plus maybe some chips.

Toast some bagels, serve cream cheese, lox, capers, thinly sliced purple onion, and lots and lots of champagne! Perfect. Also, you can pick it all up in one trip to the Megamart!

I usually just order pizza and buy a lot of soda. That's just me but maybe it's because I'm in high school.
