I think it is mostly intelligent men that go for intelligent women.

Any man who says he doesn't like intelligent women is an idiot who just doesn't want to be shown up by his woman being more intelligent and articulate than him.
Hes also a control freak most likely.
I think all self respecting men like an intelligent woman. You can't have sex all the time. You have to be able to TALK about something occasionally.

Of course, I'm a guy and I want to tell you that I really, really cherish intelligence in my gurl. Relationship at whatever level demands communication which includes sharing ideas and experiences. I'm not saying that the aspect of beauty should be ignored in choosing a gurl. But, no matter the level of beauty, if the gurl lacks intelligence, the relationship is only standing fake leg, it is bound to crash and fall into pieces. They probably occurred together and at the same time in history. Unfortunately it is possible that men back then restricted women from things like learning and other things, kind of like how many men do this today. I have and read the book "Clan of the Cave Bear" and although it is a work of fiction, the main character who is a human woman living with her adopted Neanderthal family, she displays remarkable intelligence and strong will.

Depends on the man. Some men are intimidated by women who are more intelligent than them, but that's just because they are insecure (in my opinion). I'm an intelligent woman, and more men are attracted to my intelligence than are turned off by it. And quite frankly, the type of man who is turned off by an intelligent woman isn't for me, anyways. :)

How do you see if a woman is intelligent or not?
I have known a few with a high IQ who didn't know how to behave at all.
What do you mean with "intelligent"? IQ-number or compared to you?
Most people have intelligence around average and people like you and me are not able to judge who is smart and who is not. What we usually judge is behavior.
But if she really is smart, I wouldn't mind. Then she could help stupid me out of my problems now and then!
