What would you need something like that for? connecting a serial cable to a usb extention? Does the PC not have a serial port? I don't know if drivers exsist for the cable connection. You would need to install the drivers for what it is thats connecting to the back of the pc.. ---- Serial device to adapter, adapter to USB cable, to back of pc---- Needs USB drivers ------ USB device to adapter, adapter to Serial cable, to back of PC needs Serial drivers--- Depending on the device your connecting, XP should find the drivers, Otherwise, when you try to install it, select choose from list, and locate the product that your trying to install, (use whats connected to the back of the pc,
If you have the usb plugged into the back of the pc choose USB devices, and locate the proper usb device for what your doing... then select the type and choose the product from the list..
