i am 29 yo, male living in the UK. i will soon have at least 2 months of paid holiday time, followed by a few months of unpaid time (depending if i get a job straight away). i will have about £20k to spend and i am wondering what i should do with it.
i'm thinking holiday, travelling, experiences, volunteering. i do not need the money for saving or investing, nor do i need a house / car or any other goods.
any ideas (not necessarily only related to travel) ?

Go on a cruise and save the rest.

Donate some to a charity of your choice.. Not thru any orginization, just go up to the door hand the money to some nuns who take care of special needs children and walk away.. I am not saying give it all to them but a little chunk would be nice.. Beleive me it will come back to you 10 fold... Also take that little get away.. Get a nice full day spa experience, buy boat or maybe a new fishing pole.. Remember we can't take it with us.. Greed and the allmighty dollar is why the world is in the mess that it is.. Just imagine if everyone in the world had just what they NEEDED, not WANTED. and used the rest to help those who needed it.. I am not talking about lazy parasitic scum system suckers.. I mean the ones who really desereved it.. What if all voulenteered some of our extra time.. What if we all acted, every day just as we do when diaster strikes.. It seemes during any disaster humans unite and rally for the good of the ones in need.. Too bad we couldn't always act like this.. Either way have a bit of fun.. Don't bother thinking of me while on your holiday. In 7 days I will also be taking some time at the shore..Enjoy my friend.

'As you have so much why don't you give a little to the charity of your choice....preferably for children....then you could take a cruise....you could go to a third world or developing country and work there for a while. Offer to adopt a child abroad and go and see it? Go on some training course for something you really and truly wanted to do all your life....Take a round the world trip......go on a long cruise...along the Mediterranean, around the Caribbean or round Africa and India. Take some under priviledged children on a day trip or camping for a week. There is so much to do.

You can use part of it to donate for the poor. Or you can go to Japan or do something that you like. If I'm were you I will stay home and buy food and rent movies. I will saty in my house for 1 week without going anywhere. Enjoy the time.

*Add a room on to your house
*Give to charity
*Landscape and add a water pond
*Travel to somewhere where you've always dreamed of going
*Sponser a child

I don't know what your money is compares to ours, so I don't know how much you actually have or maybe I'd have some more different ideas. You appear to be well taken care of financially though! Good Luck!

You could travel to California, to see and walk the Sundial Bridge- it's existed for 2 years. You could give some to me (think of it as a good investment.). You could buy a business. You could buy a bakery or apartment complex.

You might consider a combination of savings, contributions to Charity and some traveling. This would allow you to have some enjoyment, help others and increase your financial security.

unless you are so rich that you wipe your butt with money, you need money to save. do you own a house that is paid for? or a car for that manner? do you have bills to pay off? vacation is nice but what good is it if you have all these bills when you come home. there is no feeling like not being in debt.

Pay your tithes. Pay God first and then why not take you a nice crusie. Some co-workers and me just got back from one about two weeks ago. I'm ready to go again!

Think of something you always wanted to do, everyone has something they always thought about. But something you can look back on and think I'm glad I did that.
