It's called Synesthesia. Smells have pictures, sounds have pictures or symbols, etc. It's a condition where the circuits are crossed in the brain. Some people consider it a gift, others a hassel.

acoustochromania... a state when your boss is yelling at you and due to hypertention you get to perceive not only the intensity of that sound but also the colour...
Well on a serious note, I feel if we go to heaven we will be blessed with glorious bodies which may not just have mere 5 senses but many more through which we could probably see the colour of sound :) well "how" does THAT sound?
