Well, depends on what kind of sauce it is - some are just sauce, and others already have vegetable pieces in them. If its just sauce how about:

Diced peppers
Sliced Red Onions
Diced Baby Corn
Sliced Mange Tout
Fresh Pineapple Chunks

Or if you meant what else can you have with it, instead of chicken - Sweet and Sour sauce also goes really well with big King Prawns or Tiger prawns.

Just make sure that you only add them at the very end, after taking the pan off the heat, if you're using the ready cooked pink prawns - otherwise they'll shrink, and go rubbery. For the best taste buy raw tiger prawns, and chuck them in, again at the end, and just let them heat through until they turn from blue to pink.

Also, try stir frying the chicken/prawns/veg using Toasted Sesame Seed Oil, instead of plain vegetable oil, or whatever you normally use. Gives it a wonderful aroma/taste that's often the secret little something extra in Chinese cooking that people miss when making it at home here.

You could also try making it with Lychees instead of Pineapple chunks, and diced Duck Breast, instead of Chicken. Though it takes a little extra skill/practise to cook stir fry Duck just right so it doesn't go tough.

Add pineapple chunks from a can to make it more sour and it give it a bite! Serve French fries or chips as they are known in England with it. It tastes better and there will be enough for me - what time shall I come for dinner?

Sweet and sour from a jar tends to err on the sweet side, try squeezing the juice of a lime into it.

Okay, hands up. I buy jars too. I just add loads more red and green peppers and mushrooms so there's a few more chunks.
