DO NOT BREED DOGS FOR PROFIT!!!
Learn all you can about a particular breed. Become an expert in the breed. Answer questions pertaining to the breed. (This will take a few years) Become known in the breed community (participate in the breed club). Build a good reputation for yourself within the breed community. Learn about genetics in dogs. Find a dam and a sire that can make a positive contribution to the breed pool. Get all their health certifications in order. Learn about whelping a litter of puppies. Screen puppy people carefully. Allow them to screen you and your dogs. Draw up contracts for the pups and have all their papers in order. Be prepared to provide support during the lives of the puppies. If you did all these things correctly, puppy people will seek you (the pups will be very easy to sell - any breed).
When all is said and done, if you did all this correctly ... you'll be lucky to break even. However, you'll look back knowing that you made a positive contribution to the breed.

You shouldnt be looking for the fastest breed to sell you should be looking for the breed that you love and want to help keep strong and clean. There are far too many puppy mills out there that sell poor animals that are not "pure" they are bad. If you are just looking for fast money do something else...........if you are looking to preserve and protect a breed, them do more research.

No one should ever breed dogs to make money (and you don't make money if you do things properly). Haven't you heard about the huge number of dogs being killed in shelters because no one wants them.
Find a job to make money and leave dogs alone!

Hey bubblehead...get a real job to make money. Why don't you take a tour of the local animal shelter and ask them what the easiest puppy to sell is?

the easiest to sell are the free ones..
small dogs are most in demand - BUT it is unethical to breed dogs simply to breed dogs and is a VERY costly effort... you much purchase good quality dogs and take them to shows to prove they are good examples of the breed - worthy of passing on their genetics and you MUST get regular vet care and additional checks done before breeding....
reputable breeders who do these things and show.. NEVER have an unsold pup - infact most reputable breeders have all pups sold BEFORE they are born.. most have waiting lists for pups... you will NEVER see a "FOR SALE" ad from a reputable breeder

that's the problem, a lot of breeders are just trying to make a quick buck, don't really care about the quality of what the have
hurts the reputation of the legitimate breeders
