All Christians are not as focused on converting non-believers into believers. Most of the Christian masses just want to get through the day, living a good life, providing for their families, and giving testimony by example.

That is free will, being allowed to worship any religion you want. God said you can't have any idol, or images to pray to, that He was a jealous God, and He wanted you to worship Him only. The idols are just objects, not spirits, and God's son Jesus came here to teach the proper way to worship, and to treat each other. I don't condemn anyone for whatever they choose, but if I didn't at least try to tell them about Jesus, then I wouldn't be true to God, He said to spread the word. I try my best to spread the word, and answer the questions here without being derogatory to anyone, but I personally would not pray to an idol or anything of that sort.

I have to disagree with Punky's answer. People can be converted, look at how many remote indigenous people have had their cultures destroyed by christian missionaries. The arrive in swarms convincing these beautiful people that they are worshiping the wrong way and then proceed to push their religion on them. It's an abomination as to what has been done by "converting people". They do it in subtle ways as well using fear and control.

Because God commands it:
Mat 28:18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.
Anyone who worships false gods wastes their life and is in serious danger of eternal slavery and death. They also lead other people into the same type of error.
There's no neutral territory in the ongoing war between good and evil.
You're either faithful to the one, true God, or you're already in big trouble.

Christians can't convert anyone. They are just messengers for Christ. They genuinely care that people are going to hell. If you don't like the message, that's ok, go your own way.
Perhaps people don't like to be challenged, or to have to look at other world views. They would rather think that they will have the option to claim ignorance if Christianity is right.
Sadly, they won't be able to use their "ignorant card."

Mat 28:18 And Jesus got here and mentioned to them, "All authority in heaven and in the international has been given to me. Mat 28:19 circulate subsequently and make disciples of all countries, baptizing them contained in the call of the daddy and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Mat 28:20 coaching them to video show all that I even have commanded you. And behold, i'm with you mostly, to the tip of the age." heavily the belief-approximately everyone in hell bothers me, I dont decide on everyone to circulate there

They think its their duty. Everybody who is not "saved" is doomed to hell in their book, so they see it as a public service, a kindness, part of their Christian duty. Praying to images is a no-no, prohibited in the 10 Commandments.

Because they believe their religion is right and all others are wrong based on the teachings of the Bible, but of course that is based on the assumption that 1) the Bible is actually the word of GOD, and 2) that the teachings of other religious faiths are NOT actually the word of GOD.

if you believe in god and his word then you would understand that he is a jealous god. he does not want any man or image before him. christians are mainly tryin to warn everyone they come in contact with of what is to come. it is sad that many people do not know and understand what the last days hold. so i wouldnt call it converting more like preparation. besides, this is all apart of gods work in the bible. he wants his people to witness to others.

As Christians, we can't convert people. People themselves have to decide whether they want to serve a life piece of stone or a God that wants to give you eternal life only by accepting that gift. We all having been messing up our lives. And yet God loves us and want you to be part, but up to you, I can't force you. You ask, I'll answer, but you can't chuff it trough someones tr oath.
