Have they decided on that already? Last time I heard it was under review. I honestly do not see how they could deny it being that Wiccan is an accepted religion in the military and has been for awhile. There are quite a few Wiccans which I ran into in the military.
Can you provide a link stating which they finally made their decision. My friends in the military would definitely would want to know the outcome.

Religious discrimination
The Military Chaplains Handbook includes rituals for Wiccan's.
The Veterans Affairs' National Cemetery Administration allows only approved emblems of religious beliefs on government headstones. Over the years, it has approved more than 30, including symbols for the Tenrikyo Church, United Moravian Church and Sikhs. There's also an emblem for atheists – but none for Wiccans.
RENO, Nev. — Nevada officials are pressing the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs to allow the family of a soldier killed in Afghanistan to place a Wiccan symbol on his headstone.
Federal officials so far have refused to grant the requests of the family of Sgt. Patrick Stewart, 34, who was killed in Afghanistan last September when the Nevada Army National Guard helicopter he was in was shot down.
Veterans buried in military cemeteries can't have Wicca's religious symbol, the pentangle, on memorials unless government policy changes.

I disagree with it wholeheartedly. They should be allowed to place their religious symbol on the headstone the same as everyone else.
Do a search on it... there's a petition going around.

I think they should put the Pentacle on the headstone and stay out of people's religious choice.

They have a right. I'll wager most cemetaries won't let you use the F word or even the D word in a head stone. Damm Good Person Lies Here. I'll bet may would not allow that!

I don't think it's fair. If other religious symbols are ok, the pentacle should be ok. Anything else is discrimination.

I think it's silly. Especially since the military already recognizes Wicca as a religion.

I think it's great... Two reasons... I dont know of any solider that wants it on there headstone.. And its not considerd a true religion.. And I dont care what all the missfits out there say.. Get a life,, Find a greater cause to worry about..
Enough said about the subject...

I think that this is wrong and a grave violation of your religious freedom. I am a Catholic and feel all faiths and religions should share the same freedoms.

I don't believe in Wicca, BUT, if someone wishes to have this on their tombstone when they die they should not be stopped if a country TRULY believes in freedom of religion. You cannot say ok to one and no to another. That's hypocrisy.
