Tell them to drink the koolaid! Just kidding!

Doomsday prophesy has been around forever. When I was a child we lived under the constant fear that the Russians could push the button at any minute. We did not let it rule our lives. You have to teach your children how distinguish true realities from fanatical ravings. Then you have hope they make the right decisions. If you have taught them well, they will!

This happened to my oldest just a few weeks ago. At the nearby county fair, there was a innocent looking booth set up that caught his eye. While knowing it was religious based I allowed him to walk thru and get another opinion on God and religion. (He's always wondering/thinking about God)

Anyway, at the end, he came out holding a womans hand and crying. She explained that he was upset that he hadnt been "saved" and was fearing what would happen when Jesus came to take us all! I was p*ssed...we talk beauty, respect and forgiveness in our house. It took me 3 days to convince a 6 year old that it was simply one persons opinion on something that no one seems to be able to agree on. That God wasnt going to send him to "hell" for not being "saved". I contacted the fair board, who assured me they would be more closely watched and if they were to return next year, some things would have to change. Was also informed there had been mainy complaints/concerns about this church thru out the week.

Tell them that this belief system is insane, then expose them to other teachings, that do not follow such morbid doctrines:

The Science of Mind, Unity, Divine Science...look for a book called, A Course In Miracles...there are other options. Just open yourself to the possibilities, and you will find them.

When kids have a stable loving environment they are not afraid of every wild claim to come down the pike .It's up to parents to be there to teach and answer curious questions to educate and alleviate any apprehensions they may have when and if they hear "news" that is a little "out there".

Teach them that Jesus said it was a sin to predict the end of the world because only the Father knows when it will be.

The kid doesn't want to sin so he won't assosiate with the sinners hopefully.

What if it's true? Maybe you're signing their death sentence by 'protecting' them. I'm not saying the owrld is coming to an end - but you need to look into the facts to make a true decision. Obviously a lot of people believe it. If you're truly fair, you'll question your own beliefs as well and see what holds up to reality.

CHILDREN ARE ALWAYS A VICTIM OF WHATEVER IT IS THEY ARE BORN INTO.

IF PARENTS ARE INTELLIGENT [ WHAT EVER THAT IS IN THIS WORLD OF SIN WHICH IS IMPERFECTIONS AND IMAGINATIONS FROM YOUTH MUST BE DEALT WITH ], SO THE END OF THE WORLD AS TO A PARENT THAT DOES NOT WANT HIS CHILD TO HEAR SUCH.
SO I AM YOUR CHILD, PLEASE TELL ME, WHAT WORLD ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? PLEASE TELL ME, ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE NOT LACKING IN UNDERSTANDING?

I HEAR WE LIVE IN A WORLD THAT SATAN EXIST IN. That Satan is the God of this world for a specified time, when that time is up and he is put in the pit, that world does not exist any longer. 2Cor.4:3,4; He blinds the minds of people? Satan offered Jesus all the kingdoms of this world Matt.4:1-11; in Rev.17:1-14; He is in seven full major world kingdoms, and Jesus second coming is in the 8th of theis world's history.

WHAT WORLD IS IT THAT IS ENDING, EPH. 3:21; WHEN THE WORLD WITH JESUS IS WITHOUT END.
HOW CAN JESUS BRING ETERNITY WHEN PARENTS SAY, THERE IMUST BE NO MENTION OF A WORLD ENDING, WHAT WORLD WOULD END FOR ETERNITY TO BEGAN?
NO END TO KILLING AND JIHAD OR AIRPLANES TUNED INTO BOMBS OR WW1, OR WW2 OR DEATH FOR THAT MATTER. What causes people to act in such a way, are we to tell children that it is not out there?

JESUS IS NEVER GOING TO BRING AND END TO A BAD WORLD AND ESTABLISH A NEVER ENDING GOOD WORLD?

THANKS TO GOD, I HAVE KJV Bible 1611 and from age 303 years in 1914 and going through 1260 days, 42 months and 3 1/2 years of WW1 as it says in Revelations, it is still here in my day to tell me that the kind of situation that exist to cause a world war [ and all the conflict it is now involved in ], will not always exist, that such is going to end and a world fit for all is coming to take the place of the one that is to end.

You have to have a strong family foundation to protect your kid from this. Whatever your belief is it must be strong enough to ring true with your child. If you are wishy-washy in your beliefs then your child will be confused. Cults prey on the confused and impressionable.
