Warm salt water swish can help. There are Lots of home remedies for tooth pain. If you don't have clove oil. A whole clove will work also. You can get cloves at the grocery store in the baking section. Just put it on the infected area and bite down. It has a natural numbing affect. A warm wash cloth on the outside might make it feel better as well. some people chew ice which can also help numb it temporarily. If its in the gum area and not an actual tooth, you can use a sore throat spray which also numbs the area. You can find that at the grocery store or pharmacy as well. The main thing is...If its abscessed or infected no amount of home remedies are going to help. You should see the Dentist.
If its severe enough and you cant get to a Dentist (since its a Sunday) Go to the emergency room. at the very least you can get some pain medicine to get you through the rest of the weekend.
Don't let it go to far. Infections like that can cause other health problems.

Plyers, not really . Clove oil on the affected tooth. There is a chemical in cloves that soothes the nerve and eliminates the pain transmissions to the brain for a period of time. Usually about 2 to 3 hours. Also cayenne pepper on the aching tooth and gum. It will hurt at first but it will go away and so will your toothache. and then there is aloe vera plant gel. Tastes nasty but squeeze some on your tooth and the pain will stop. I say because it tastes so nasty you forget about your tooth hurting. . Also vanilla extract,or drinking sage tea and holding the tea in your mouth for 30 seconds before swollowing and then last but not least if you are old enough get a cotton ball and soak it in whiskey then rub it on your tooth and gums
for an ear ache get garlic oil capsules and ***** a hole in it and allow the oil to drip into your ear. or what I prefer is simple hydrogen peroxide. pour in a capful and allow to fizzle and work on the infection. It also will remove any wax build up.
facial pain I would say a warm towel applied to the area .

I'm so sorry, but unfortunately, it can't be avoided. Here's how it works: You get a cavity, it starts to hurt. To fill it and fix it = $0-150 (depending on insurance) You put it off, cavity gets deeper (can take 3-6 months,) you now need a crown = $1000 You further put it off (again, 3-6 months), you now need root canal and crown = $1000 for EACH You love pain and keep putting it off (could be any day after the root canal is needed) now you need extraction = $100's, but now you have a hole in your mouth and all your teeth start shifting and tilting. Not trying to scare you, but truly there is no way to home remedy a cavity. You can only dull the pain a little temporarily. Your best bet is to get it fixed ASAP to avoid worse pain and more money. Sorry, and Good Luck!

TRy taking a shot of vodka, or whatever, and letting it soak in your mouth. The alcohol will help somewhat. YOu don't have to swallow it, just soak the tooth and area in your mouth.
