If we were having a late party (late being past 8pm for most Christians) and started ringing a bell, you can bet money they'd be calling the cops for disturbing their peace. How come they're allowed to wake up people who like to sleep on Sunday mornings?

Legally it is an easement. If it (the sound) has been tolerated by the community for several years, then it is considered as okay.

The city, town. or county codes in the area you live in! More than likely a long, long, time ago! You would need to address this thru the city council, town hall, or city government! It would actually have to be petitioned and go thru the process of that locality's governing body to change this practise! You may be petitioning until God (Jesus Christ) actually comes back! I don't think one church is going to stop the bell ringing of another and all Christians would come out to support this Church practise! That has been practised in America and other countries and religions have ways of notifying their believers or practitioners of the Time of Worship! This is America - you have every right to give it a try! We may hear of your efforts in the news! Or you just may learn to cover your head! I've partied to sun comes up and beyond also and lived right across the street from a church that took up the whole block on that side! It ran bells on Sunday morning - we just slept thru them - we had our fun - now it was their turn! It was no problem! This is America! I love it!

They ring their bells for a religious cause, that should be allowed in every religion. Bellsring for a short period of time, parties past 8pm go on longer so basically u are distrupting the peace for longer, stop complaining and be tolerant of peoples beliefs, practices or rituals when it comes to religion, there are more important things in life other than partying like wars, poverty and death.

Freedom of Religion???? At least if you live in the states. I live in a Muslim Country, first I found it difficult to even go to the market on fridays since they pray in the middle of the road, and hear the speakers of prayer during my son's nap time. I have changed since my first few months here, and have grown use to the sounds. Best Adivce I could give? Buy alot of property, and move miles away from it if it bothers you and you can't come to terms. Watch the market though you could end up near a school with loud kids, near an airport or traintracks.

Public disturbances is only after 11pm. Actually depends on your state / country. Unless you own that land, it's their right to do what they want as long as it complies with the law of the land.

Basically, if you are not happy, go live somewhere else. Else you can call the cops for all you want.

Relax!

I used to live two doors down from a fire station. I got used to the alarm sounds, and those alarms sounded off more often than church bells!

Once a week on a Sunday morning is nuthin compared to the alarms.

So relax.

Read your bible and don't say 'damn bells on Sunday Mornings' because when you die next time you will know why the Christians ring the bell every Sunday Morning. Remember God created you not for your own purpose but for God's purposes, that is to praise and worship Him always. He loves us so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ to redeem our sins so that when we die, we will have another place to stay eternally. Please ready your bible. Call a realy Christian or priest before you use bad language please. Peace be with you.

Rights? Who do you think determines rights? If you don't believe in a God, you can just make up your own. But it doesn't mean that they're correct. We will all have to answer to the God who set things in motion. But if your a christian, Christ answered for you and you're free to go. So why are you so indignant about bells in the morning?

The same thing that gives you the right to play loud music and make noise late on Saturday and Friday nights. Personal freedom.I sleep days not nights and I do not get to make everyone be quiet when I sleep. Learn to sleep throught it.
