i really want to try and make them. but every reciope i find cals for baking powder and i dont have that. so can i use pancake mix. ? suggestions?

don't try this at home. it ws disgusting, and really nasty and greasy too. even the powdered sugar was greasy. gross.

Thin batter wouldn't work. Where are you getting your recipes that they require baking powder? Funnel cake isn't baked and doesn't do any rising.

To make it, just find any recipe for Choux pastry. Make it, then put it in a piping bag and pipe it in a nest shape in a deep-fryer, then flip it and cook it until it's golden.

yep, you can use pancake mix for funnel cakes, you can also use certain kinds of mixes they have at the store for funnel cakes.

a good hint: when making your funnel cake add ground cinnamon to the batter, it gives it a little extra yum flavor. also top with whipped cream and fruit toppings.. or chocolate syrup! :o)

yes you can, in fact I think there is cake mixes for funnel cakes

you should be able to..just make your batter really thin and have your pan really hot.
